When Christina and Daniel reached out to plan their dream honeymoon, they had a clear vision: a blend of history, culture, and stunning beaches. As their travel advisor, it was my honor to curate an unforgettable Mediterranean journey for them to celebrate their first anniversary in October 2024. With autumn’s golden glow casting a magical light over the region, the Mediterranean became the perfect canvas for their love story.
A Journey Begins in Athens
Their adventure began in Athens, the cradle of civilization, where they stayed at the luxurious Royal Olympic Hotel for three nights. Christina and Daniel spent their days exploring ancient wonders like the Acropolis and the Parthenon, guided by an expert storyteller who brought Greek history to life. I also arranged for a 3-island day cruise of Agistri, Moni and Aegina complete with lunch and drinks along the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea—moments they described as utterly enchanting. Evenings were spent enjoying rooftop dinners with breathtaking views of the cityscape.

Island Bliss in Crete
Next, they jetted off to Crete, Greece’s largest island and a haven of natural beauty. For three nights, they stayed at the charming Sansal Boutique Hotel, where modern elegance met traditional Cretan hospitality. Here, they indulged in the slower pace of island life, strolling through quaint villages and savoring authentic Cretan cuisine.

Sorrento: Romance on the Amalfi Coast
From Crete, they traveled to the Amalfi Coast, where Sorrento welcomed them with open arms. For three nights, they luxuriated at the iconic Grand Hotel Royal, a clifftop retreat offering stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. They embarked on an enchanting boat trip to the island of Capri, where they discovered its iconic Blue Grotto and picturesque streets.

Palermo: The Heart of Sicily
Their journey then brought them to Palermo, Sicily’s vibrant capital, where they stayed for four nights at Hotel Politeama, a modern hotel perfectly located in the heart of the city. The couple fell in love with Palermo’s bustling markets, Baroque architecture, and the irresistible aroma of fresh cannoli wafting through the air.

Rome: A Grand Finale
Finally, they concluded their honeymoon in Rome, the Eternal City. For two nights, Christina and Daniel stayed at the elegant Rome Times Hotel, where they were treated to impeccable service and stylish accommodations. They wandered through cobblestone streets, marveling at iconic landmarks like the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain.
